Working With Me

As a Gestalt counsellor, my approach focuses on the here and now, helping you become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in the present moment. We can look at how the events of the past may be impacting you in the present and how you react, interact and make sense of your world. Paying attention to patterns of behaviour can provide greater self awareness and understanding of yourself, empowering you to make changes and improve your relationships with yourself and others.

Sometimes it can be difficult to find the words to explain your thoughts and feelings and this is where the use of creative tools can be useful in helping you to express these.

 

I adapt my counselling approach to suit the needs of the individual, for instance by integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy within my counselling, and I can help you to develop a “toolkit” of strategies and techniques to manage your mental health. ​

Fees

I believe that the most important factor in counselling is the relationship between the client and the counsellor, and we can work together to build that relationship. Finding a counsellor who you feel comfortable working with is so important, which is why I offer a free, no obligation, initial telephone conversation.

If, after this conversation, you would like to book an initial consultation, then I offer a 50-minute session to explore what brings you to counselling. This allows us to get to know each other a little and decide whether we would like to work together. I offer long-term and short-term counselling. Sessions normally take place weekly, but this is something we can discuss so we find a frequency that works for you.

  • Face to Face Counselling Session - £65 per 50 minute session
